Some couples just love to be out and about and engaged in sports and outdoor activities as much as they possibly can. When these kinds of energetic and sporty couples learn that a baby is on the way, one of the top priorities for many of them is to figure out how to stay active once the baby arrives and include the newcomer as well. It is with just this type of parents in mind that the Mountain Buggy jogging stroller company designed a line of baby strollers that are ready for action.

The Mountain Buggy All-Terrain line of baby jogger strollers are designed and manufactured in New Zealand and are widely distributed in other parts of the world as well. These robust baby strollers are specifically designed to traverse the rugged and rough terrain that is so common in the stunning and varied landscape of New Zealand.

With this careful design and engineering that makes Mountain Buggy baby travel gear so “rough and tumble” it is no wonder that these strollers have become the number one sellers in New Zealand. The same qualities that make them popular at home also help to make them strong sellers in other lands as well, such as neighboring Australia with its massive outback that draws adventurers from all over.

In Europe, where cobblestone streets are still very common, it can be a real challenge for parents to provide their little one with a nice smooth and comfortable ride when in a standard baby stroller, or in a less well engineered jogging stroller. This is one of the reasons why the Mountain Buggy All-Terrain stroll has become very popular, plus the fact that there are also so many wonderful but rugged trails to explore all throughout the continent.

In the United States, many active and adventurous families have discovered the many benefits of the Mountain Buggy line of tough and hearty baby strollers. They can be used to easily manage curbs in urban areas, just as much as they can be put to great use when the family wants to introduce the child to the great out of doors by getting out on the backpacking and hiking trails that are so abundant in many locations around the country.

If the family has a newborn plus a sibling or two that are close in age, or if they happen to have been blessed with twins or triplets, then they will find that the Mountain Buggy company has thoughtfully designed several different models of strollers to meet the needs of the families. In addition to the popular single stroller, there are also Mountain Buggies that come in double stroller and triple stroller models. All of the models in the line have extra safety features that are not always found on competitive models, and which will help assure the safety of the child or children in the stroller.

Not only do the Mountain Buggy jogging strollers shine when it comes to being able to tackle rough and difficult terrain, these amazing examples of baby travel gear are also very easy, simple and straightforward to operate; all of their models can either be unfolded or folded in one quick step. In addition, all models have seats that can be adjusted from a full upright position to a fully reclining position, so they will comfortably accommodate a toddler just as well as a newborn.

Family With Twins Should Look At Double Strollers

For the family that either has two young children who are toddlers or younger or who have been given the rare gift of twins, double strollers are a welcomed convenience. A double stroller is guaranteed to make things easier in many ways for such families. With just one double stroller for two small children, which is good until around the age of four years, they can safely be accommodated so that parents don’t have to try to push two single strollers and then deal with the hassles of folding both of them up and trying to get them to fit in their car.

Double strollers are available in wide variety of colors and styles and are offered from a variety of different baby travel gear manufacturers. The first thing you will find is that there are two distinctly different types of double stroller models or configurations that parents can choose from, and each of these configurations come in an array of styles.

The side-by-side configuration of double strollers is just like it sounds; two seats are set up next to each other. The configuration for the tandem stroller has one seat positioned in back of the other. There are advantageous aspects to each of these stroller formats, as well as some drawbacks to each. Before deciding which is best for your family, you should carefully consider some factors.

The most common model and most widely available, is the side-by-side double stroller. For the best handling when steering this type of stroller, it is better to use this model with twins or with two children who are fairly close to the same weight. These baby strollers are easier to maneuver over curbs, small bumps and obstacles.

Obviously, the double, side-by-side strollers are wider than the tandem stroller models, but in recent years, primarily due to feedback from parents, manufacturers have worked hard at redesigning them to be as narrow as possible so that they can fit through doorways more easily. However, it should be noted that a side-by-side double stroller will always be more challenging, awkward, and difficult to steer and navigate through crowded areas and tight aisles.

Another benefit to the side-by-side configuration is that with the children seated alongside each other, they can better interact as they grow and they also enjoy the same view from their seats. As the kids get older, this is an important factor as it will reduce the fighting and bickering that might take place over who gets to sit in the front seat. The seats of most side-by-side models don’t recline fully, and if this is the case with the model you are considering, it should be used with older children and not infants.

The tandem stroller models seem to be better suited for use with a baby and an older brother or sister. With most models of these double seated strollers, the seat in the rear is able to recline fully which is perfect for the newborn, while the older sibling has a nice view from the front seat and plenty of leg room as well.

Many people like the fact that the tandem stroller takes up less space when folded than the side-by-side double strollers do. The tandem models are obviously narrower so they can move through doorways and cramped aisles better. But because they are longer, they can be harder to turn and can make navigating small areas a real challenge. As you start looking at the different configurations and models of the double baby strollers available, keep these things in mind to help guide your decision.
